Last call for Moneyslane 30th anniversary dinner

Moneyslane Football Club are celebrating their 30th anniversary Dinner Dance at the Burrendale Hotel, Newcastle on Saturday.

Music will be played by the Professionals. All members, family and friends are welcome to come and join in the celebrations with the club on this historic occasion.

Dress code for the men is suit, white shirt and club tie while the dress code for the Ladies is smart casual.

Tickets are priced at £35 per person and includes a sumptuous banquet meal and a free seat on the bus.

Formed in 1983 Slane played their first competitive game in the Newcastle League and remained there for 24 years , adding in a reserve team before moving to the Mid-Ulster League.

The Football Club has grown over the years and to date Slane have three senior teams, two playing in the Mid-Ulster League, one in the Newcastle

league; and seven junior teams with one playing in the Mid-Ulster Youth League, one in the Carnbane Youth League and the remaining teams playing the IFA Games Development Centres.

This year the new facilities was officially named as Jubilee Park and the club wait in anticipation for their first competitive game on the new state

of the art 100x60 metre sand carpeted grass pitch.

Training facilities are also a massive bonus to the Club who had to travel miles to train every week and play competitive games at a considerable cost,

a 40x30 meter sand carpeted grass pitch and a 40x20 floodlit 3g pitch are in full swing every night as the club grows developing kids as young as five years of age right through to the senior level.

A massive crowd is expected for the dinner dance so book your place and don’t be disappointed.

- Moneyslane FC’s annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday June 4, at 7.30pm, in the Social Club.

All members are welcome and the club encourage you all to attend to get involved in your club.

- If you have any unwanted clothes please feel free to drop them off at the recycling clothes bank situated at the entrance of the new pitch development at Moneyslane.

All items of clothing, pairs of shoes, handbags and belts will be accepted but no duvets can be accepted for hygiene reasons.
