Karl and Adam combine with quality to win the derby for Dromore U14s

The new year got off to a great start for Dromore U14s, who smashed derby rivals Banbridge Town 3-0 on Saturday.

Dromore started brightly and scored in the first minute. Karl broke up play as Town’s defenders passed around at the back, played it to his new strike partner Adam and he controlled the ball well before firing home.

The next goal came on 16 minutes, when Adam broke well and passed to Karl who put his foot on the ball. He then took the ball on, cut into the box and with his left foot, he buried it into the right side of the goal.

Three minutes later, Karl run after a ball out of the box and the keeper followed him. The forward got there first and swung in a great pass across the goal. Adam was there to jump and head the ball into an empty net.

This was enough to win the game, send Dromore to second and remain unbeaten in the league.

The team worked well, passed well and broke down play well. Jonathan Reain came on for his first appearance for Dromore and did well at right back.
