Institute: Words exchanged in dressing room

Kee say that certain indivduals didn’t like what said in the dressing room.

“There were a few home truths said afterwards by some of the senior players and a few of the players didn’t like it,” insisted Kee.

“The people who spoke up were 100 per cent correct.

“In the second half we had most of the play; they were restricted to long clearances up the pitch to try and get up top which is just typical of this league.

“We can’t feel sorry for ourselves but that’s what’s happening. We’re trying our best to dust the players down.”

The Drumahoe man, who admitted that he has learned more in the last few months than throughout his managing career, tried in vain to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closed on Saturday.

“When you’re down, you’re down. I’ve learned a hell of a lot in the last six weeks but it’s meant to be,” he added.

“We’ve limited money. I tried to improve the squad but we can’t get the players we’re looking for.

“We’re looking for the best local players and we have players coming in playing catch up like Davitt Walsh, but we’re just chasing around at this stage and we just have to get on with it.”

To make matters worse recent signing Saul Deeney has left the club.

“It never rains but it pours. He’s going back to England he’s got a job offer at Notts County and it’s really left me in a bad situation but we just have to get on with it. Eugene Ferry has gone so we’ll just have to use Marty Gallagher for the rest of the season.”
