Dean Gordon struck in the first minute of added on time after Brian Johnston had given Town the lead mid-way through the first half.

Johnston’s strike was the first real chance of the game and one he wasn’t going to miss, firing his penalty into the bottom corner past the dive of keeper Jonny Parkes, who had guessed the right way.

Young Town forward Stephen McCavitt then burst clear on the left burst his shot flew across goal and wide of the far post.

As the second half wore on, Rangers began to make their way forward and, after missed chances at either end, the visitors forced their best chance of the game.

Dean Gordon’s inch-perfect ball was clipped over the defence and found Neily Wilson but his volley flew just past the top corner.

Gordon took things into his own hands in injury time and glanced in Adamson’s cross to secure a point for Rangers.
