Frazer off to dream start as manager

ANDY Frazer got off to a dream start as Reserve team manager at Banbridge Rangers winning his first competitive game in charge on Saturday at the Tech against last years League Champions Loughgall Reserves.

It was no surprise to the Rangers contingent who have renewed belief in themselves under Frazer winning all five pre season game under his stewardship and playing some very good football.

The only goal of the first half came from Mark Wilton who played for the Reserves after being unable to be part of the first team squad against Ambassadors. Wilton’s goal came midway through the half and he slotted in past the Loughgall keeper after beating the offside trap with a late run from midfield.

In the second half Banbridge Rangers went close on several occasions before eventually sealing the game on eighty minutes through Andy McLarty who tapped home after some good work by Rangers down the right hand side. Chris Chambers filled in as keeper to gain some valuable experience since making the switch to nets and pulled off several very good saves to record his second clean sheet off the weekend.

This Saturday the Reserves will face a trip to last years runners up Newry City with kick off at the showgrounds scheduled for 2.15pm and with no other senior games on it should give everyone an opportunity to go down and support the Reserves.
