Eddie's eldest grandson, Paul Hines, suggested the idea of forming the club, FC Utd Lisburn, after much deliberation within the family on how best to honour Eddie's memory.

Paul has taken on the role of manager and would like to thank the family circle and close friends who have supported him in what he is trying to achieve.

FC Utd Lisburn are a cross-community club, fully committed to Eddie's philosophy of bringing the community together through football.

The club recently raised £1,600 for the Friends of Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital, who will be their nominated charity.
