Excellent win for Dromara

DROMARA’S first team travelled to inform Malachians at their Shore Road venue on Saturday and came away with an excellent 4-1 win.

In truth in the first period they created alot of chances and should heve been more than two goals to the good at the interval. They took the lead after only three minutes when Oconnors flick on was headed home by Aaron Thompson.

O’Connor, who is getting back to his best with more games, could have added to the scoreline on several occasions, being denied by the keeper and just missing the target.

He did get on the scoresheet when another ball played in was headed home by the big striker.T

They scored the vital third goal when a corner was headed home by Thompson.

The home side did get a glimmer of hope late on when they reduced the deficit but with minutes to go some clever play by Ogorman seen him outwit two defenders and fired over a great ball for McIlmurray to shoot home at the back post.

This was a good team performance which is now building confidence in the side for the last ten matches in the run in.
