Moneyslane have announced the signing of the experienced player, who was most recently playing for Annalong.

In a move that may have surprised some, Coulter will join up with former Loughgall team-mates Brian Quilty, Darragh Peden and Slane boss David Johnstone.

Stevie has a wealth of experience in both senior and intermediate football. He was a key member of the successful Loughgall FC team in the mid 2000’s that won promotion from the old second division right into the Premiership and winning a host of silverware along the way.

His performances caught the attention of Crusaders and after a spell at Seaview Stevie dropped into Intermediate level where he has continued a successful career.

Moneyslane Manager David Johnstone was delighted with the latest addition to his squad.

“This is a great signing for the club and exactly the sort of player we need,” he said.

“I have known Stevie for 10 years now. I was at Loughall when Stevie arrived in around 03/4 and we actually played a couple of games in the team that won the treble inc promotion to the Premiership.

“I recall a few season later Stevie cooly slotting home an injury time penalty at Windsor Park to earn a 1-1 draw in the Irish Cup against Linfield. He will enjoy playing with his old team-mates Darragh Peden and Brian Quilty no doubt.

“Stevie is a great lad who plays the game at 100% and in recent years has become a midfield dynamo. His experience will help the younger players and his determination and drive will be an asset to us.

“I am delighted he has chosen to come to Jubilee Park where he already has many friends. We have had some poor results in recent weeks but Stevie could see what we are trying to achieve and wanted to be part of it and that is very positive.”
