“Adam came in and did really, really well,” said the Town manager.

“Nothing phases him. He takes all instructions on board for somebody so young, at 17 years of age, he shows a lot of maturity.

“He didn’t look out of place in the team at all. We’re absolutely delighted with him and now he just has to keep his head down and keep working hard in training along with everyone else.

“He has a lot of potential if he keeps doing that. If he continues to perform to levels that he did on Saturday, there’s absolutely no reason why he won’t hold his place in the starting line-up even when everybody else is fit and available again.”

“We have so many young players coming through and they’re all showing great levels of maturity.”
