Stute took a deserved first half lead after Kinkaid capitalised on a wonderful Deighan through ball.

However the visitors levelled things on the stroke of half-time, but the home side immediately regained the lead at the start of the second half, with the same pairing combining to allow Deighan to score from a tight angle.

Ballymena levelled with a wonderful 30 yard strike, before the Drumahoe teenagers won the game in the last minute courtesy of Deighan’s volley.

Meanwhile Ben Kee’s goal was only a consolation effort as the U13’s lost 5-1 to Bertie Peacock Youth U13; goals from Gareth Canning (2) and Lorcan Deeney saw the U14’s draw 3-3 with Causeway Colts; a Josh Wilson double saw the U15’s beat Portadown Youth 2-1 and Adam Dougherty’s goal wasn’t enough for the U17’s to beat Portadown Youth, as they went down 4-1 in the NIBFA Cup second round.
