Bann Rangers Under 8’s win Reece Beattie tournament

Banbridge Rangers Under 8’s travelled to take part in the Reece Beattie Tournament at the weekend to help raise awareness and funds for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

After winning all four group games the Banbridge Rangers side progressed to the Final after a penalty shootout win over Lurgan Town in the Semi Final, which was goalless despite Rangers notching eight goals in four games up to that point.

Joshua Rice was a striker in form scoring five in the group stages along with two from Cartmill and another from Gilchrist.

In the Final the ‘Gers met Oxford Sunnyside with Lee Cartmill’s goal proving to be the winning strike and the young side picked up their second tournament win in the last few weeks.
