Although Moneyslane didn’t manage another double figure scoreline they did two weeks before, beating the same opposition 12-0, a double from Gregg Harrison and one from Johnny Kernaghan added to Anderson’s treble to deliver a comfortable victory.

The opening 15 minutes were uneventful as Seagoe, playing with a back five, had the strong wind behind them.

Slane took the lead when Johnny Kernaghan played a quick free-kick to Gregg Harrison, who controlled and looped the ball over the keeper from 10 yards out.

A second goal followed soon after when Harrison burst past his marker in the box and his cross was hammered home by the in rushing Mark Anderson from six yards. Seagoe with the wind at their back won a series of corners and it took a good punch by the alert Stephen White to clear the danger.

Slane came out with the wind at their backs and dominated the second half. Skipper Gareth Bingham broke forward and played a great pass through to Kernaghan who expertly poked the ball past the advancing keeper for 3-0.
