Academy round-up

BANBRIDGE Rangers U14s and U12s hosted Dungannon Youth in Banbridge on Saturday morning with the U14s going down 2-0 at Crystal Park against one off the better teams in the league last year.

The U12s faced a Dungannon side who travelled despite not having enough registered players to make the scoreline count but in a tight game Josh Crawford scored Rangers solitary goal in the second half.

The U11s played away to Dromore in the new Mid Ulster Youth League nine—a-side section and suffered defeat but should take away enough positives for a home game this week against Warrenpoint.

The U10s went down 5-2 at Havelock against Tandragee Rovers with Lee Chapman and and Ethan Heslip scoring the goals for Rangers.

The U8s played two games at Cheney Park and won both against Banbridge Town with Matthew Hampton scoring twice in the first game alongside goals from Llywd Jones, Issac Heslip and Joshua Rice.

In the second game Llywd Jones made the difference with his strike to secure the win with clean sheets being kept in both games.
