3G pitch is now available to hire

The club are especially proud of their 3G facility that is situated next to their new state of the art 100m x 60m full sized sand carpet grass pitch.

They are delighted that the pitch is now fully functional and are able to offer this exciting facility for hire from 9am to 11pm, seven days a week. The 3G is a truly first class facility that will in the future benefit the whole club but is also fully available for community use.

Moneyslane FC’s exciting new 3G allows you to develop your skill and fitness levels on a surface that resembles a top quality grass pitch.

The pitch is surrounded by a high density fence allowing the ball to rebound increasing your work rate and significantly increasing your fitness levels.

The 3G is available to hire on both casual and block-booking slots. It represents a new development in synthetic turf, the pitch itself looks like natural grass with similar playing characteristics, non-abrasive and can be used with rubber moulded studs and trainers. Simply put, the ground provides a firmer grip and allows for better ball control. Pushing off, running, stopping or tackling are all possible without additional risk of injury.

The floodlights and all weather capabilities of the pitch make it ideal for any sports training but importantly it can be used for competitive football training and small sided matches and meets with FA and UEFA standards. The durability of the surface means that training and matches can be played concurrently. It is not just wet and frosty weather the pitch is beneficial for, in summer grass pitches harden which increases the risk of injury whilst the 3G pitch retains its impact absorbency. Basically it provides the perfect solution to all those training sessions and junior matches that are postponed due to our good old ‘Norn Iron’ weather.
