Exciting times for ladies section

THE ladies at Banbridge Golf Club are into a very busy and exciting time with all the team matches taking place and the new 'neutral venue' format has incorporated something different into the mix.

The Intermediate (captain, Liz Armstrong), Minor League (captain, Marie Mills) and Challenge Cup (captain, Mary Parkes) teams are all through to the next round of their competitions which will be played on May 24 - see notice board for details. Banbridge is also a host venue on that day for 10 visiting teams in the Intermediate section.

The Junior Foursomes team captained by Marianne Nelson have also won through. The second leg away to Roe Valley had a nail biting finish with Marlene Nelson and Ann Magennis clinching the match on the second tiebreak hole. Congratulations to you all.

The Senior Foursomes Team, captained by Denise McBrien play their second leg against RCD at home on Saturday May 8 – best of luck girls! The Miele Fourball Team meet Ardglass in the first round which takes place, home and away on May 10.

The GUI Mixed Foursomes Team with captains Helen Cocks and Neil Madeley are off to Ardglass on Sunday May 16 for the qualifying round. So come along and support your teams at home or away.
