Once again, there was a first-time winner of the Saturday Sweep. Pat McGarry played with the vastly experienced Andy Murphy and Harry Shannon and he was obviously inspired. Pat produced a winning score of 36 points over the 13 holes course and he was delighted.

Low Section:

1st - Eugene Weir (6) 34 points.

2nd - Jonathan Shannon (5) 33 points.

Middle Section:

Meanwhile, John Doran, playing off a 13 handicap, has become the first four-time winner of the Sunday Sweep this season with a nett 29.5.

And he has won it three times in the last four weeks. Hugo Downey, playing off eight, took second place with a nett 31, edging ahead of both Kieran Doherty and John Poots on countback.
