Dromore Seniors and Ladies score big wins

Dromore Seniors played Rathfriland last Wednesday night and got 5.5 points to keep up their challenge for the Division Two title of the NIBA League.

Once again, the Blakely brothers were the point-scorers for Rathfriland.

Gavin won his game by three shots and Kyle came from behind to tie his game by 16 shots each. The Dromore rinks skipped by Nicky Haire and Sam Malcomson had high scoring wins.

Dromore Ladies

Near neighbours Lagan Valley Ladies provided the opposition for Dromore Ladies in their final game before the summer break in League fixtures.

The weather was perfect,the green was running true,and a fine game of bowls followed. Dromore took full advantage of their familiarity with the green and quickly established a comfortable lead on both rinks.

At the finish the winning margin was 25 shots in Dromore’s favour which earned the maximum 5 league points.
