Dromore Ladies Fourths suffer a narrow defeat

Dromore Ladies Fourths played Civil Service Thirds away at Stormont Pavilion and lost 2-1 after a tight match.

The first goal of the game was scored by Dromore’s Kiera Walker after being awarded a short corner.

The first half ended at 1-1 when the Civil Service Ladies scored a goal after being awarded a short corner of their own.

Dromore went out determined in the second half, winning a number of short corners and long corners, gaining a number of chances for a second goal.

Luck wasn’t on their side as a number of close saves from the Civil Service goalkeeper and tight defence kept Dromore out.

Dromore stayed firm, playing the ball down through the midfield, with all of defence, midfielders and front players sticking close to their opponents and staying strong and fast with their ball passes and interceptions.

Unfortunately for Dromore the game didn’t end as hoped as the Civil Service ladies won a short corner and scored with only three seconds remaining in the second half stopwatch, ending the game with a 2-1.

Goalkeeper, Ciara Barlow, was awarded player of the match for a brilliant number of amazing saves and her brilliant ability of helping coach the team from the back of the pitch.
