Dromore High School retain Pollock Cup with win over Sperrin College

Again Dromore will embark on another High Schools’ Trophy campaign, with their first tie at home to Omagh High School. Already this season they have retained the Pollock Cup.

The squad of 22 players won all three of their group matches before beating Sperrin College in the final.

Captain Ben Heath was instrumental throughout with other notable performances from Reuben Cobb and Matthew Pepper, as well as prop Samuel McMurray whose performance was exceptional considering he had only recently returned to the side after a long-term injury.

Although starting slow, Dromore won through their group before overcoming Sperrin College in the decider.

The boys didn’t concede a single point which will hold them in good stead for the forthcoming High Schools’ Trophy.

At the end of the day the Ulster Branch presented the boys with their medals and captain Ben Heath with the Pollock Cup Trophy.
