Defeat for Dromore but win for Banbridge

On Wednesday they travelled to the neutral venue at Whitehead for a Joyce Kavanagh cup semi - final clash .

Dromore’s excellent early season form deserted them on this occasion and they finished second best to a good Newry team.

Final score: Dromore 30 Newry 42

On the.following day, Dromore were on the road again, this time to Newry.

At their home green, Newry were very much at home whilst Dromore struggled to find the required strength of delivery.

It was no surprise therefore that Newry repeated their victory of the previous day.

However, Dromore did manage to win one point which may prove to be important at the end of the year .

- On Thursday May 23 Banbridge Ladies travelled to Donaghadee for a league match.

Despite battling gale force winds and severe cold Banbridge managed to gain five league points.

There will be no league match on May 30.
