With Geoff and Ryan concentrating on their Quarter Final Matchplay, it meant that Aaron could concentrate on picking up the prestigious Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive Awards, on the 10th and 17th respectively.

Some good scoring was had on the front nine holes with Chris Chambers firing in 18 points, Stuart Singer 15 points and Scott McAlister getting 15 points.

A special mention must also go to the big hitter David Sterritt who not only hit a monster of a drive on the ninth but followed it up with an exquisite wedge shot to sink the ball into the hole to card his, and the Lost Boys, first eagle of the season!

Onto the back nine more great scores came in with Russell Connell racking up 17pts and Chris McGladdery 17pts also.

Though the days golf belonged to big Chris Chambers who had a near perfect round, carding only 1 ding.

With 18 points on the front nine and a massive 21 points on the back nine, he definitely stole the show, to claim his first victory of the season.

A well earned handicap cut now awaits.

The days craic and banter continued back in the clubhouse before venturing onto Carlingford for well needed refreshments.

A great day was had by all.

So onto their next outing which will be The 3 Club Challenge, Charity Event in which proceeds will be going to Tinylife.
