What does it mean to you to be an athlete with Special Olympics Ireland? It’s good because I’m proud to represent my country.

2. How long have you been involved with your club? 17 years.

3. What sport will you compete in at the 2014 European Games in Belgium? Gymnastics.

4. What type of training are you doing to prepare for the European Games? Extra gymnastics training; golf; hillwalking; swimming; walking and going to the gym most days for general fitness training.

5. What does it mean to you to be representing your region and hometown club at the European Games? It’s very good because I am the only gymnast from my club and from Ulster on the Irish team and I want to make everyone I know proud of me.

6. What is your best memory so far about your time with Special Olympics? Winning medals at the Limerick 2010 games and dancing with my old and new friends at the Closing Ceremony.

What type of training are you doing to prepare for the European Games? Playing Bocce as often as I can.

What does it mean to you to be representing your region and hometown club at the European Games? I am very pleased to represent my club.

What is your best memory so far about your time with Special Olympics? Being selected for Team Ireland.
