Cup win for Dromore

Dromore Ladies travelled to Dungannon to play Newry Ladies in the Joyce Kavanagh Cup final on Wednesday and then entertained Curran Ladies at Holm Park the next day.

The final was a struggle between two determined teams. Dromore did not find the green easy to play on because of its slowness and quickly fell behind to a rampant Newry.

At the three-quarter stage, Newry were strolling to victory but the game took a dramatic swing. Newry lost a player with and injury and this sparked Dromore into life. At the finish only four shots separated the teams, the victory going to Dromore.
