Cup success for Ballymoney Bowling Club
ANDERSON PIGGOTT CUP
Ballymoney Bowling Club, holders of the Anderson Piggott Cup for Senior Teams, played Limavady at Portrush Bowling Club. The warm weather had dried out the green, made it a faster bowling surface and, with a strong wind coming across the Atlantic Sea the conditions were tricky making it difficult for both teams.
Ballymoney were ahead after five ends, and finished convincing winners. Past NIPBA President Kieran Adams presented the Anderson Piggott Cup to Brian McAlary, President of Ballymoney BC.

These two very good teams presented the spectators with an excellent final but Ballymoney showed their strength in depth right across the green to go slightly ahead after 5 and 10 ends and continued on to finish the stronger on the night.
The Ballymoney Senior players who had come from Portrush to see the last 2 ends at The Warren joined the ’B’ Team in celebrating a fine evenings bowling. NIPBA President Noel Linton presented the AD Sutherland Cup to the Ballymoney Vice President Maurice Logue.
