Millpark take on Donaghcloney cricketers this weekend

DONAGHCLONEY and Millpark cricket clubs will play in the first semi-final of the inaugural Jubilee Cup in Lurgan Park this Saturday.

The official launch of the competition was held on Monday night in Maloney’s Diner, Lurgan, owned by former Banbridge Town boss Colin Malone. The four team tournament has been organised by Victoria Cricket Club for the 21st April, and will also incorporate the hosts and Lurgan.

The Twenty20 competition will provide an interesting prelude to the cricket season, and should bring local fans to Lurgan Park to witness a day of competitive action, when local pride will be very much at stake.
