Clann pack a punch as training resumes

CLANN na Banna U8s and 10s are back to pre-season training with the first few sessions organised for the all-weather pitch at Havelock Park before moving back to Cottage Park.

Pat Vaughn and Martin Casey are heading up the management team this year and any parents willing to help out on a Sunday morning will be more than welcome.

All kids, both girls and boys from the whole community are very welcome. Training times: 11.30am-1.00pm.

U12's: Training for under 12s is at Cottage Park. 11.00am-12.00pm. Jimmy Hill is managing the 12s again this year and would like to encourage as many u12s from the area to get involved, both boys and girls.

U14s: The U14s have been back at training a few weeks now. Training is on a Monday and Thursday 6.00pm-7.00pm. Please note a change of match nights for the U14s. They will playing their matches on a Monday night now.

U16s: The club currently needs a management team for the U16s. They are a great bunch of lads, really committed to their football and need somebody who can really commit to the team for the coming season. They currently train on Monday and Wednesday nights, 6.30-7.30pm and their match night is now a Thursday night. Please contact Youth Officer Brenda Feeney for further details 07928484763.

Minors: The minors are currently training with the seniors on a Tuesday and Friday night. Managed by Ruairi Gillen, the lads are training hard for the new season.

Reserves: Pending result from St John's game. Next up at home to Ballymartin.

Seniors: Training on a Tuesday and Friday night. There's a few sore faces after the Fight Night but the lads are back at training, looking forward to the new season starting.

Club Merchandise: The club is still taking orders for the new gear which can be viewed online at the Clann na Banna website. All details and order forms are available there, as well as contact numbers and email for any queries.

The club appreciates the U8s, 10s, and 12s are only back to training and their parents may not have had a chance to consider buying the new club merchandise, but strongly encourages everybody to purchase some of the items and support your club.

The Big Night was a resounding success, thanks to all the boxers and their respective clubs, to everyone who helped out and to all of you who came along to make it the night it was. Special thanks to Gilford ABC for all their help and to Kevin McGivern and the Belmont Hotel for all their help.
