Anything can happen but the key to success, to my way of thinking, is to play in all the Thursday Opens. Lots of points can be picked up there. You can debate whether that is right or wrong but that’s the way it is for this year anyway.

Jonathan Ward is going to get extra points for his performance in the matchplay and that could prove crucial.

It will be a battle to the finish, that’s for sure.
