Call to respect disabled spaces

THE Southern Health and Social Care Trust is appealing to drivers to respect the designated disabled car parking spaces at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Twelve new disabled car parking spaces have been created at the hospital.

Dr Gillian Rankin, Interim Director for Acute Services at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust said: “We were aware that some drivers with mobility issues were having difficulty finding accessible car parking, particularly those attending appointments in the Ramone Building.

“We hope that the additional spaces will help to improve access for these patients and appeal to other drivers to respect all disabled car parking spaces on site.”

The hospital also has fifteen disabled car parking spaces directly in front of the main building and 32 spaces in Car Park 1 (opposite the main hospital) are designated for disabled drivers.
