Brady finishes in second place in ladies’ category
Of the Larne AC participants two elected to run the half-marathon – Thomas Craig and Jackie Wallace. Four opted for the 10K – Rhonda Brady, Kerri-Anne Kearney, Wayne Morrow and Bernard Brady.
Craig completed the half-marathon in a superb 1:44:58, (14th overall) and Wallace put in a strong, battling performance to finish well up the field in 2:08:35, 85th.

Hide AdIn the 10K race Wayne Morrow crossed the finish line in 37:22, just outside the podium places in fourth spot. Bernard Brady came home in fifth place just 19 seconds later.
Kerri-Anne Kearney ran a well controlled race to finish as 25th female in 57:27 but performance of the day went to Rhonda Bradywho ran a superb 46:38 to take a well earned second place in the ladies’ event.
Six runners from Larne AC ran in Thursday’s Millstone Mountain Race - Race 8 of the Hill & Dale Series 2014.
Dale Smith was first home for Larne AC in 41st place in a time of 46:20.

Hide AdNeal O’Boyle came in 71st in 50:17. Bryan Magee eased home in 78th position (51:51), while Dan Magill did himself proud crossing the finish line in (57:11) 114th. Laura Smith continued to break her previous times in the Hill & Dale races, clocking 57:59 (125th). Elaine Hall returned smiling to the mountains after a short break finishing in 157th place in a time of 65:49.
A large number of Larne AC members made the short trip Ballymena to to take part in the Fairhill Five-mile Road Race.
A record entry of over 300 runners took part in the main event and many spectators provided encouragement and support along the route with a sizeable crowd waiting to watch the runners finish close to Church Street.
Larne AC would like to pass on congratulations to the five members who were prize-winners in their age category: Bernie Regan (F55), Janine Rainey (F50), Helen Murray (F40), Geraldine Quigley (F35) and Bernard Brady (M45).
