Boxing club celebrating two major milestones

Banbridge ABC are celebrating two major milestones in the history of boxing in the town.

The first sod at Havelock Park, the new home to amateur boxing in Banbridge has been dug.

Concurrently the Club have appointed local boxing stalwart, David Mawhinney to Head Coach of the Club.

Chairman, Martin Casey is delighted with the progress made to date.

He said, “There is no doubt thatt hard work and positive thinking have paved the way for these historic and progressive milestones.”

Training continues at the Club on the Ballymoney Hill on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday night for experienced boxers with Tuesday night for beginners.

Boxfit for adults runs three times per week on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday.
