Bounce team plan fundraising for next broadcast

AT a recent meeting in the Railway Inn, Reilly Street the Bounce FM got together to organise fundraising events for this year's transmission.

The station will be on air for the summer period if sufficient funds are raised and if too late for the summer then the station plans to broadcast over the Christmas period once again.

The fundraising gets underway with a four band session in the Football Club on Friday April 16, starting at 8pm sharp. Admissionis 5 payable at the door.

The first band is Cold Blue Steele, a 4 piece band from Banbridge influenced by the likes of Stevie-Ray Vaughn, Rory Gallagher, Muddy Watters and The Rolling Stones. The band is at present working in the studio recording their first nine track CD.

Cavehill is the second band, an up and coming three piece band formed in Belfast last year. They cover many great songs from The Clash to AC/DC. The band have already released their first CD called Napoleon's Nose.

Band three is A Little Bitter and are no strangers to Banbridge. The Dungannon based band have been going for many years now and is about to launch a new CD which will be available at the Football Club on the night.

Rezurrection are a six piece classic rock covers band formed in Belfast in 2002 and are going from strength to strength. They will blast out tunes from the likes of Guns and Roses, Kiss, Metallica, AC/DC, Scorpions, Iron Maiden and Priest.

The last time Rezurrection played in Banbridge the crowd went wild. This is a band not to be missed. Their front man, Duff, puts on one heck of a show and woos the audience no-end.

More information on the bands is available on their MySpace sites.

Put this date in your phone or calender and dont miss it. Keep reading this paper for further information on events for Bounce FM and watch out for The Bounce FM Supporters Club online.
