Bobby’s back as U9s get back into action after break

BANBRIDGE Town U9s restarted their games development programme at Brownstown in Portadown on saturday after the aster breake

Town also welcomed back defender Bobby Jones who has been out injured with a broken arm in recent weeks.

In the first game the opposition took the lead after having twice went close with Toby Jones pulling off two fantastic saves. Josh Kerr had agreat run cut off at the last minute while Bobby Jones made anumber of brilliantly timed tackles keeping his tea in the game.

Town then equalised after joshua noble squared the ball and Tom King neatly squeezed it home from close range. Noble also had a good long range shotwhile harry annett also went close with the goalkeeper closing in on him.

Alex Innocenzi cleared one away at the near post before the end but it finished honours even.

In the second game Banbridge again lost the first goal but as the game progressed the boys played really good football with Tom King going close.

Great efforts on his goal while at the oether end Harry Annett’s run and shot was squeezed out. Town then equalised with Alex Innocenzi finding himself in an advanced position to slot home with a neat finish.

Owen Wilson and Adam Hamilton gave good energy on their entries but again Bobby Jones was execllent in his densive duties.

Overall the Town did well to get back jnto things after the long Easter break with the return of Bobby Jones the icing on the cake.
