Billy is the top man in Sunday Sweep

SUNDAY AUGUST 15 - Billy Clarke is a keen supporter of the Sunday Sweep and it was good to see him win this one. Let's hope it's the first of many.

A two on a Sunday is always very rewarding. It was the turn of Paul Faulkner to lift the entire pot on this particular Sunday. He was ecstatic.

1st, Billy Clarke (17) Nett 32.5; 2nd, Tom Ferris (22) Nett 33; 3rd, Paul Magennis (4) Nett 33.

MONDAY AUGUST 16 - Joe Glass really went a little overboard in this competition. Not only did Joe win the top prize but he also had the only two of the day and scooped the whole pot. Nice one, Joe!

1st, Joe Glass (14) 35; 2nd, Gareth McGregor (13) 35.

THURSDAY AUGUST 19 - Mark McCoy is yet another young player to keep an eye on. He went round in a marvellous gross 74 and won this Thursday Open.

1st, Mark McCoy (11) 42; 2nd, Neil Hinds (17) 40; 3rd, Christopher Boyce (12) 38; 4th, Matthew Mallon (8) 38. Best gross: Rory Leonard (plus 2) 67.
