Bill releases 20 trout at Islandderry

GOOD numbers of trout are being caught on both lakes at Islandderry Fishery, Dromore at the minute with Bill Johnston, Lurgan releasing over 20 trout on the main lake caught using an orange blob.

Ronnie McFadden, Lisburn also had a good day on the main lake, fishing his own cormant pattern to release 15 tout.

Stuart Sinnamon, Blackskull is keeping up his record for the big trout catching and releasing 9lb2 trout on the main lake on a green sleech and a 6lb14 trout on a cats whisker while Peter Cairns released a 8lb10 trout caught using a pheasant tail nymph on the main lake.

Johnny Alexander, Dromore was fishing the Hollow Springs lake with a green sleech and returned a total of 17 trout while Philip Campbell, Kilkeel released a lovely trout of 8lb8 caught on a yellow dancer, also on the Hollow Springs lake.

The next competition will be the last all night competition and BBQ of the year on Saturday 14 August from 7pm to 7am. Both lakes are open for this competition with both bank and boat fishing. All welcome.
