THE return of Ally Beck from a serious knee injury has proven inspirational for Sepatrick.

The on form striker has scored five in his last two games to virtually secure their Intermediate A status.

That is not taking away from the other Seapatrick players who have fought and battled week after week and responded to every request from the management team.

Seapatrick went into their home game against Tandragee full of confidence and raced into a 3-1 lead courtesy of a Beck hat trick.

However the dismissal of a Seapatrick player for an alleged elbow gave their opponents a player advantage and they came back to draw the game 3-3.

Seapatrick were awesome when it was 11 v 11 and showed what a good team they are.

Saturday’s game at home to Fivemiletown saw a last minute decision deny Seapatrick all three points.

However it was Seapatrick who drew first blood. A 35 yard free kick that ‘Becks’ himself would have been proud of saw Ally Beck give the Village a 1-0 lead.

Fivemiletown equalised and both Beck and Chris McGrath then hit the post and crossbar respectively for Seapatrick. Damo Curley and McGrath were pulling the strings in the middle of the park and Paul Fearon was working his socks off out wide as Seapatrick went ahead yet again. A corner fell to the edge of the box and Ally Beck was there to rifle home.

Then came the heartbreaking equalizer. A soft free kick was floated into the box and with three of the visiting players in seemingly offside positions one was able to get a toe to the ball to score past keeper Fletcher.

Fletcher who had saved a penalty earlier on, protested along with all the Seapatrick players but the goal stood. Andy Frazer had his side well organized for this game and it was a great result for a Seapatrick side missing five regulars.

The players who had came in did a decent job for the Village side.

Team spirit is excellent and their football is good to watch they are hungry in every game and if a couple of quality players can come in during the summer, Seapatrick as a club will most certainly be up there challenging.

Seapatrick have one game left at home to last year’s champions Dollingstown tonight (Tuesday, 7pm at Crystal Park) which will conclude the season for the hard working Village side.
