They host fellow Ulster side Cookstown in the EY Irish Hockey League (pass-back 4.15pm), already five points off pace-setters Monkstown in third place.

They’ll be licking their wounds after their defence of the Irish Senior Cup ended in Dublin on Saturday, with the crushing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Railway Union.

All was going to plan when Eugene Magee put Bann 1-0 ahead.

However, the hosts rallied back and goals from Nick Tate, Mark English and Simon McKeever condemned Bann to defeat and an early Cup exit.
