Bann ladies Thirds lose out to Larne

After a long journey, from Banbridge to Larne High school, Banbridge Ladies Thirds faced a tough match against Larne Thirds

In the first half, Banbridge started strong but with Larne soon matching their pace.

Banbridge, had a strong defence, but with a few unlucky breakthroughs from Larne they gained early goals. At the end of the first half, the score was 3-0 to Larne.

During the second half, the girls won a short corner.

An excellent straight strike from Kate Cunningham, beat the ‘keeper and brought the score to 3-1.

Larne came back with a good offence, gaining two more quick goals.

Great play from Hannah Hopkins, breaking through Larne defence and crossing the ball into Ashleigh Mitchell, who with a beautiful finish put it into the back of the net. The second half finished 5-2 to Larne.

The Ladies 3rd XI will play Grosvenor in the Junior cup away on Friday night.
