Bann Ladies held to a drab draw in Dungannon

This week Bann Ladies Thirds earned a frustrating 0-0 draw in Dungannon in their penultimate away match of the season.

Due to postponement of matches, this was the first time that the two sides have met this season and with Dungannon just two points behind Bann in the league table, Bann knew they were in for a tough match.

The match started well forthe visitors, keeping possession well.

As the first half went on, Dungannon began to find ways to break through Bann’s midfield line and make some quick and scary breaks into the Bann circle.

With some fantastic saves from keeper Louise Beckett, Bann were able to keep it to 0-0 at half-time.

Bann went out strong in the second half with some great play from Anna Waugh and Poppy Robinson which drove the ball to forwards Emma Leeper and Jayne Walker but they could just not finish it in the circle.

Bann’s defence were put under great pressure near the end of the match but some great tackles by Jayne Scott and Joanna Berry kept the ball out of the line of goal for Dungannon.

With a frustrating final scoreline of 0-0 at full time, Bann go away with another point on the board.
