The duo are in England to represent Ireland in the three match series against Great Britain.

The boys in green lost all three matches but the series provided key experience in the build-up to this summer’s Olympics

Back at the ranch, their Banbridge team travel south to take on Cork Church of Ireland on Saturday (pass-back 2.30pm) before returning to Havelock to play Three Rock Rovers on Sunday at 2pm.

The side are within touching distance of securing their spot in the season-ending European play-offs. They’re currently seven points clear of both Three Rock and Glenanne so just one more win will rubber-stamp their place.

“We want the lads to be going into that play-off weekend fresh so we have to start thinking about that now,” said coach Mark Tumilty.

“We’ll have a different squad for the two matches this weekend. It gives some of the other lads a chance to come in and play and it lets us see what they can do.”
