They lost against Edenmore last Sunday.

Banbridge, captained by Patrick McNiff, had lost the away leg by 17 points to three. So it was an almost impossible task they faced at home.

All credit to them, they put up a tremendous fight.

Patrick McNiff won the top game by seven and five and took all four points.

Matthew Hutchinson was one up after nine holes while Matthew Elliott, Jack Hutchinson and Rory McNiff were all level at the turn.

The comeback of all comeback” seemed a possibility at this stage.

Jack, Rory and Matthew looked well on their way to getting four points each.

But when Matthew Elliott lost four and three and it was all over. Edenmore got the three and a half points they needed.

Banbridge had a very young team. They will give it a better run next season.
