Banbridge Motor and Sports Car Show set for new venue

This year sees a change in venue as they have had to move due to ongoing site work at their previous venue. However, Banbridge Enterprise Centre have stepped in to save the day and offered the use of their grounds in the Scarva Road Industrial estate for their Sunday 3 August show.

Although a bit more compact, it still promises to be an excellent show with a superb variety of cars from motorsport and modified cars to classics, trade stands and entertainment with resident DJ Oggie on site all day to keep the crowds entertained.

The club have been working hard to make this another great show and they have built up quite a reputation since 2011 in hosting excellent shows.

Club spokesperson Joanne Magennis has great praise for the team who work well together and have tried to keep the family theme going.

“As the new venue is a wee bit smaller, we had to look at various ways to keep it interesting for all the spectators,” he said.

“As the venue is next door to a children’s fun facility ‘Little Imps’ who have a soft play area, climbing frames and all sorts of fun things for kids to do, we got them on board which keeps the family theme.

“We have a theatre company coming in Fancy Dress which look amazing, we have our two resident models Taylor-Rae Hamilton and Lauren Gibson doing their bit, we have a guy in a white suit and white helmet coming again (he loves Banbridge) and all these will make for fantastic photographic opportunities.

“Most importantly, we have a great selection of cars for the public to get up close and personal with and we thank all the car owners for bringing them along. Sunday 3 August Banbridge Car Show is definitely the place to be and the entrance fee is only £5 with children under 12 getting in for free.”

The show is open from 12noon to 5.pm followed by the now traditional car parade of all the exhibitors through the town centre.
