Having had a tremendous season last summer, it would hard to top some of those results. This year’s cohort are doing their very best to match, and possibly even better, those high standards.

In the Down Schools’ Championships held at the Mary Peters Track, the school won a total of 12 individual and 4 relay medals – 7 of these performances were gold, with the athletes in question ‘crowned’ Co Down Champions. The success was not limited to individual performances with notable team placings included the Junior Boys (4th), Junior Girls (3rd) and a fantastic 1st place by the Mini Boys team. This is the first time that a Dromore team has finished ahead of the whole of Co Down Schools’ in these team score events.
