With a full squad available, the Banbridge side is also taking this opportunity to give some younger players a chance to step up to the mark, including Dylan Cowan and Charlie Norris.

The two sides have not yet faced up against each other this season, although Banbridge Academy 2nd XI have met the Belfast side in a match in which Campbell came out on top.

Banbridge hope their run of wins this season carries on to their new Cup campaign.

With conditions that haven’t been very hockey friendly in the last number of weeks, the Banbridge team is doing everything they can to prepare for the challenges they face against some quality competition.

Banbridge can be quietly confident going in to this fixture after their win against a strong Wallace side in the McCullough Cup Final, but know that underestimating a side of Campbell’s quality can be dangerous.

All past pupils and parents are welcome to come and support. The match hits off at 9.00am at Campbell College.
