Youth Bank funding open to local groups

IT’S that time of year again as Banbridge Youth Bank have opened their funding round to the Banbridge District Area.

Groups of young people can make an application for up to £750 with a project idea that will benefit their community - the more creative the better!

The Youth Bank berlieves there is a root to every idea and this is the ideal opportunity to make a change in your community. The project ideas can be anything and it can cover issues, for example; boredom, wanting to build a better community, tackling something in your community you think is unfair, under age drinking and the list goes on.

Centre-based worker Eimear McCudie said, “We think young people whole the key to coming up with ideas that will make young people stand up and be counted in their community.

“So if you have ideas please come forward and we will give you as much support as you need with the application process.

“We have extended the closing date until June 15 as there is a lot of interest so get your applications in fast.

“We look forward to all the exciting and fresh ideas from young people in the Banbridge Area.”
