Woman is fined for speeding
A 25-year-old Ballyroney woman was fined £60 last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court, sitting in Newry, for a speeding offence.
Jo-Ann Bell, whose address was given as Dromara Road, Ballyroney, Banbridge, was also given three points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
The defendant did not appear in court and was convicted on the served evidence.
The court heard she was travelling at 74mph in a 60mph zone on the A1 dual carriageway at Dromore on August 15 last year.
An offer to attend a speed awareness course was not taken up.
