Winter wonderland at Nazarene church
Carrickfergus Church of the Nazarene hosted the Narnia Experience on December 20 and 21 at its Oakfield Drive premises.
The free event took visitors on a journey to the magical snow-covered kingdom, famously brought to life by CS Lewis in his series The Chronicles of Narnia.

The idea was adapted from a similar Narnia event run by the Church of the Nazarene in Troon, said Debbie Kane, wife of associate pastor Michael Kane.
Speaking to the Times last month, Debbie said: “Most people are familiar with the Narnia story from the books and the films and we wanted to do something that was modern and exciting.”
After registering at the church, participants were led by a tour guide around a number of interactive displays, where they met some well-known Narnia characters such as Mr Tumnus.

“We received many positive comments from families who attended and there was a great Christmas buzz about the place; over 700 people participated over the Saturday and Sunday,” said associate pastor Michael Kane.
“We have many gifted people in the church who all worked together to bless the town of Carrickfergus in what was a very creative way over Christmas.”
