“Our young eco-champions in local communities are playing a pivotal role in developing good habits to become more energy-aware and environmentally-friendly and they’re taking these habits and knowledge forward throughout their daily lives. Through our work with Operation Energy we’ve already discovered some really fantastic projects that Eco-Schools are currently undertaking to raise their environmental awareness and improve their energy efficiency. Now, our new eco-grant competition will recognise and reward this creativity in a very practical and important way. I would urge all Eco-Schools to get involved and enter for an eco-grant by loging-on to Operation Energy now.”
Carmel Fyfe – Eco-Schools Manager said, “Operation Energy is a great resource to help Eco-Schools studying the Energy topic as part of their Eco-Schools programme. Schools can find a range of exciting and interesting lesson plans, games and activities focused on the topic of Energy which will certainly support them with their projects. It is fantastic to see Eco-Schools working on reducing their energy consumption and the competition is a great way to reward Eco-Schools for their efforts.”
