Welcome for road re-opening
THE re-opening of the Loughbrickland Road in Rathfriland - closed for several months due to a collapsed bridge - has been welcomed by councillor for the area, Mrs Elizabeth Ingram.
Speaking at the monthly meeting of Banbridge District Council, Councillor Ingram said she was “delighted” that local motorists could now use the proper road again, instead of being sent on an inconvenient diversion.
“This is a very busy road for local people who experienced much inconvenience for longer than expected,” she said. “I would like to welcome the fact is has now re-opened.”
