Although the second snow shower quickly passed, the weather has taken a wintry turn.

The Met Office says this afternoon's snow and sleet showers will be confined to counties Tyrone and Fermanagh.

"A cold day with moderate to fresh westerly winds, strong along the north coast. Maximum Temperature 7 °C," they said.

This evening is predicted to be dry with clear spells and frost is expected to develop.

The minimum temperature will be -2 °C.
