Warning after series of burgalies in area
A series of burglaries have taken place in the Gilford and Donacghcloney areas - a week after a public meeting was held to address the issue.
Upper Bann MLA Carla Lockhart has urged householders to be extra vigilant in the run up to Christmas.
Carla said, “I have addressed this matter with local police and will be speaking to the Area Commander. We need extra police on the ground in the run up to Christmas as a priority. The council have also got a limited number of timer switches available and I would encourage people to make use of this programme.
“These criminal acts need to be stopped and together we can all make a little difference.”
